In a sense, we are starting to live that future today. Concepts of social networking, web 2.0 technologies, especially 3D, or virtual world technology, are starting to make a huge impact in our society. There's no doubt they are also making a huge impact on our kids, and on the teaching and learning process.

This presentation is about where we are today with these technologies, especially one high popular virtual world called Second Life, and where these technologies are headed in terms of teaching and learning.
