It is the second day of the virtual conference eUniverSALearning where JEM has its annual progress report. The entry page for the virtual space does not really work for me, but there is a way to access the moodle area setup for the conference. I am not so sure this setup will be very efficient. As a coincidence, I was asked today about another virtual conference I have attended, CISSE.

This Exhibit of the life of Lars Ahlfors (1907 - 1996) is a part of the Ahlfors Centennial Celebration event taking place at the University of Helsinki. The SL event remains open until September 4. Lars Ahlfors was among the most influential mathematicians during his active life. He was the recipient of the first Fields medal. The Exhibit is in the ground floor of the Millenium Tower on EdTech Island.

As of yesterday, JEM has a furnished office with some exhibition space for the network members and for relevant work in technologies supporting teaching and learning of mathematics.Currently we have 6 exhibition boards that when clicked show a different image from a set that is preloaded. This allows for instance to show a full presentation once each slide has been converted to an image. For those of you who are interested in the location of the JEM office (we have not opened it officially yet), just contact us and we will let you in.
