DragMath

General Information
Objectives:

This is an open-source drag and drop equation editor written in Java. The editor lets users build up mathematical expressions in a traditional two dimensional way, and then output the results in a correctly formed syntax. This is not so easy: mathematical notation contains some ambiguities. Still, we appear to be stuck with traditional notation for the forseable future.

Once an expression is created the user can convert it into a variety of different strict linear syntaxes for mathematics, including MathML, LaTeX, Maple, Maxima or any user defined style. Although mathematics is less dependent on language than many things, the applet loads a language file which makes it possible to translate DragMath into other languages.

Roadmap:
soon.
Objectives:

By developing panta rhei, we aim at providing a general framework that combines arbitrary presentation hyper-media, its narrative structure, and various discussion platforms. Panta rhei integrates narrative structures into arbitrary materials while at the same time facilitating readers to challenge, discuss, and assess the presented information on-the-?y.

panta rhei integrates narrative structures into arbitrary materials while at the same time facilitating readers to challenge, discuss, and assess the presented information on-the-fly. By managing the users' annotation in a threaded structure, users can then commonly discuss and answer questions. Furthermore, the system offers an assessment view on the content which allows users to e.g. assess the relevance or helpfulness of other users'entries. Based on semantic web technologies, i.e.

We live in the information age: Huge amounts of information are available at our fingertips and computers influence every aspect in our lives. In particular we have to deal with an increasing amount of e-documents in research as well as in industries. Therefore the research on Document Engineering is concerned with principles, tools and processes that improve our ability to create, manage, and maintain documents. However only a few aspects of this broad research field found their way into practice, e.g. document management systems (DMS).
