Current metadata standards (DC, LOM, MPEG, ...) are all based on early work inn the mid 1990's.

In the mean time, technology has advanced and some or many of the assumptions that held 17 years ago may no longer be so relevant...

Community Interaction and Gain using mathematical eLearning material

The aim is to exchange experiences and ideas on how the community of a
given field using math eLearning gains better educated students, easier
programming of elearning units by the creators, easier and more
professional presentation by the staff,- triggered by the interaction
between these three person-groups and within them,- made possible by the
web-2.0.
