Towards a Semantic Wiki for Science
There are many collaborative work environments for scientific knowledge (e.g. Wikipedia, PlanetMath, Connexions), but they lack semantic services and thus cannot offer sophisticated knowledge management. SWiM is trying to solve this problem by offering the advantages of both collaborative systems and knowledge management tools in an integrated system, encouraging users to contribute knowledge, and, using this knowledge, improving services for users. Services are planned for easier editing, learning assistance, change management, scientific publishing, and more. They will be evaluated in scientific as well as educational settings.
