In this talk we describe the ways in which the JEM, Joining Educational Mathematics, thematic network can help in the efforts of educating about accessibility of science, and of mathematics in particular. The JEM network tries to create a community involving all the key players in the arena of mathematical education, from developers of technologies to users of online content.
While we have had some successful interaction with the @Science community, with tutorials and surveys on accessibility presented at the JEM meetings, there are still very few software tools, learning resources, and cases studies documented and available on the JEM portal. On the other hand, some of the technologies pursued by the JEM partners integrate well with accessibility tools and can offer new ways of improving access to science, making JEM also an important source for the @Science community. See the JEM website for more information at http://www.jem-thematic.net.
