We are in the business of advancing the use of information technology in education. At times I feel that this is a Mission Impossible.

This year I start a new experiment: the use of design laboratories in Java for learning some concepts in mathematics.
I use the tool: Easy Java Simulations. It works very well.
Now I am in a JEM meeting, I will give more details in the following entry.

A mathematics exhibit was opened at the Museum of the University of Helsinki yesterday, November 29. Besides posters and items related to Nevanlinna, Ahlfors and other famous Finnish mathematicians, there is an exhibit of WebALT courses, a JEM activity. The exhibit remains open until March 2008.
