Mathematical notation on the web
In a virtual Learning Environment, the need for students to discuss the mathematical formulae creates diverse communications challenges, which grow if said students do not master the corresponding vocabulary. In this presentation the existing standards are reviewed, their evolution and the different solutions adopted at UOC (Open University of Catalonia) in orther to attack the problem are discussed.
